Katie and John’s Boston Public Library Wedding was full of love and sweetness. I don’t know if it’s because we were in a library or not, because you are supposed to keep your voice down when in a library, but the quote, “True love is the quiet peaceful space between words,” reminds me of Katie and John. They are so lovely with each other.

A great view of the Boston Public Library and the street scene below, this could be any decade which is fitting because Katie and John have an old fashioned kind of love. The library, which may come as no surprise to you, is chock full of great books and in those books are great quotes.

Here’s another I like … “Those novels with old fashioned heroes and heroines in them … are ruinous!” ~ William Dean Howells
Why? Because it’s rare that a person finds a hero to match their heroine or vice-verse. Katie and John are one of those lucky couples.

Paul, John’s brother and his best man gave a great toast about John’s infamous indecision. He told a hilarious story about John’s search for the perfect wedding necktie. Over the course of an afternoon John dragged Paul to three separate stores, considered many, many, many ties and ultimately left … empty handed. Paul said he knew John was serious about Katie because he called him and said, ” I met a girl I really like.”  Paul was thinking… Oh boy he will probably change his mind like he always does. John must have felt his brother’s hesitancy to believe him, because he added,”No… you don’t understand I REALLY like her.”

According to Paul, unlike the great necktie search, John never looked back when he decided on Katie. The decision to woo her and marry her was the most decisive one he ever made.

It’s easy to see why John would fall in love with Katie, she’s stunning, classically beautiful.

In this case it worked out to judge a book by it’s cover, she’s just as pretty on the inside.

If John and his dad and his friend were in a band together, this could be their album cover.

“A daughter needs a dad to be the standard against which she will judge all men.” High standards were set here.

Katie’s brother confesses at first he wasn’t so keen on the idea of John, he was afraid to lose his big sister who had always paid him so much attention. He quickly came around though when he met John and realized that now he’d be a priority to both of them. Sibling sweetness!
